Why I Created Homesteadology
We are living in a time of dependence on credit and governmental aid. As opposed to my Grandmother’s generation who depended on themselves and sometimes their neighbors. They needed each other. Not us. Nowadays people don’t reach out to help their neighbor. Instead, they look to money-making corporations(banks, credit card companies, etc.) to help them.
I grew up with my grandparents who knew the depression and World War II firsthand. They never asked anyone for help. My grandparents had all the skills they needed to live, and they didn’t call themselves homesteaders or give themselves any label. That was just how you lived. But, I would say they were savvy and smart. And, I hope to pass on what I learned from them to you through this blog.
I don’t consider myself to be a religious person. But I do believe that Those who want to be rich, however, fall into temptation and become ensnared by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil – 1 Timothy 6:9-10
